Engineering note / 4 October 2026

Set review points before the prototype
Define the function being evaluated and record the design revision. Agree which optical and mechanical interfaces are part of the prototype scope. A review should resolve specific questions rather than simply approve a photograph or a sample.
Turn observations into acceptance criteria
Record which measurements determine whether the assembly meets the system requirement. Identify the test setup, mounting references and required reports. Separate a prototype finding from a production limit; a single sample does not establish process capability.
Control changes and records
Decide how drawings, specifications and inspection instructions will be updated after a design change. Agree who approves deviations and which records accompany a production shipment. These are proposed project controls, not claims that every supplier uses the same process.
Review the production forecast
Discuss expected quantities, repeat orders, packaging and lifecycle needs alongside the technical scope. Confirm supply terms and acceptance arrangements with POG before moving into production. Link the review back to the original system requirement.
This note helps prepare a technical brief. Product performance and application suitability require project-specific confirmation.
